His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, has reiterated his ministry’s support for artists and creative Emirati talent through a range of large scale initiatives, the latest of which is the Artist In-Residence Program.
In cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has launched ‘Reader Makers’ initiative for punitive and correctional institutions’ inmates. The initiative, which comes as part of the UAE’s Month of Reading activities, aims to expand inmates’ intellectual knowledge and foster cultural and ethical values.
The Joint Steering Committee for the restoration and reconstruction of Al Nuri Mosque and its Minaret Al Hadaba held the first meeting in Abu Dhabi. In her remarks, Noura Al Kaabi welcomed the members of the Committee, stressing the UAE’s support for Iraq in establishing security and stability.
