The Little Storyteller

Teacher Bayan Ajami selected a group of outstanding readers from each class and assigned them a special task, “The Little Storyteller.” These students underwent training in recitation and expression skills to become more proficient and confident while reading. The little storytellers wore traditional storyteller attire, including a fez, and presented their stories to the third-grade students in an engaging manner, taking them on a journey through the world of tales. At the end of the event, students could vote for the best storyteller, and the votes were counted while the winner was announced amidst an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation. This initiative significantly impacted motivating students to develop their reading and expressive skills, as “The Little Storyteller” demonstrated a remarkable ability to capture the audience’s attention and interact with them through live and enjoyable performances. Wearing traditional attire helped enhance the students’ sense of their roles and added an authentic heritage touch to the event, making the attendees feel as if they were living in the times of old tales.
