As part of encouraging a love for reading among fourth-grade students, teacher Hawa Abu Taha presented them with a fun and exciting activity under the slogan ‘Reading Champions.’ This activity aimed to motivate students to read outstanding books and stories through an interactive competition that showcased their skills in reading aloud. Each student was asked to choose a book or short story to read aloud in front of their classmates during this competition. The reading was evaluated based on clarity, correct pronunciation, good expression, and the ability to capture the audience’s attention. Students were encouraged to choose lively stories where they could act out the characters to bring the text to life. The ‘Reading Champions’ competition received great interaction from the students, who excelled in selecting and presenting stories in a distinctive manner, demonstrating their passion for reading and their ability to recite and express. This activity was not just a competition but an inspiring educational experience that helped boost students’ self-confidence, developed their language skills, and encouraged them to explore new worlds through books. At the end of the competition, outstanding students were honored in appreciation of their efforts and creative spirit. The students expressed their happiness with this experience, which allowed them to enjoy moments of fun and learning, reinforcing their love for reading as a way of life and a key to knowledge.
