Eligibility
The grants program targets emerging or established UAE national creative professionals. Applicants should have an academic background in the relevant creative field and either have work experience of at least 3 years with a strong professional track record or completed achievements within the field being applied for. Those fulfilling these criteria are encouraged to complete the online application form below and ensure to attach the specific documents required for each grant category.

Selection Process
A dedicated grants assessment team at the Ministry of Culture along with the support of a subject-matter expert committee will review the applications and select the final candidates based on eligibility, program requirements, impact to the industry and applicant career, and overall quality of application. Any application that does not fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned above or submits an application with incomplete required documentation will be excluded. Complete applications will then undergo a six-stage review and selection process by an internal committee composed of a dedicated team of experts in the cultural and creative fields. Only shortlisted applications will be contacted, and interviews may be held to support the final selection process. The final selected grantee’s will be informed and announced by the start of December and the grants will be dispersed soon after.
Limitations of Grants
- The grants are strictly intended to be utilized and given to individuals only and not to creative organizations.
- The grants will only cover a single project that has been submitted and approved by the Ministry of Culture.
- The grants do not cover purchase of electronic hardware and media such as film cameras, speakers, laptops, etc. They will also not pay for personal items or shipping fees for personal items or electronic goods. The grantees will need to pay for their health insurance, visa fees, if any.
