Ministry Of Culture Announces The Winners Of The Poetic Competition “I Love UAE”

The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has launched a series of competitions on the occasion of the Flag Day and the 46th National Day celebrations, the latest of which is the poetic competition “I Love UAE” which the Ministry announced its winners yesterday. The competition, which promotes creativity, patriotism and national values, aims to support creative Emirati artists and genuine patriotic Emirati poetry, with its aesthetic and humanitarian features. The Ministry expressed its keenness for the empowerment of creative UAE artists to express their patriotic feelings and sense of belonging and loyalty to the Nation and its Leadership, on the occasion of the Flag Day and the 46th National Day celebrations. The “I Love UAE” competition received a total of 36 participations, 29 poems for the National Day and 6 for the Flag Day, from 30 participants. The Ministry noted that the evaluation process by the jury members was conducted with complete credibility and transparency, which led to satisfactory results. On the other hand, the winners confirmed that this competition was a strong motivation for their poetic creativity and development. They also thanked the Ministry for its role in supporting and motivating creative artists and talents. Results for the best Flag day poem category came as follows: Ateej Khalfan Al Kaabi from the UAE won the first place, Noura Nasser Al Kaabi from the UAE won the second place and Sheikha Abdullah Al Meqbali from the UAE won the third place. On the other hand, results for the best National day poem category came as follows: Ali Hamad Al Meri from the UAE won the first place, Mezna Rabea Mubarak from Oman won the second place, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zaarouni from the UAE won the third place, Mariam Ibrahim Al Amri from the UAE won the fourth place and Hazza Ali Al Mansouri from the UAE won the fifth place. It is noteworthy that the jury members included a number of the best peots from the Gulf region including, the Emirati poet Ali Al Khawar, Ali Al Essairi from KSA and the Yemeni poet Sultan Mejli.
