Ministry of Culture Signs MoU with Fujairah Culture and Media Authority to Launch Initiatives Fostering National Development Culture

During the 33rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, the Ministry of Culture formalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. This partnership aims to collaboratively develop and implement initiatives and projects that promote the sustainable dissemination of national development culture.

The memorandum enhances active partnership relations between the parties to achieve their common strategic objectives. It also promotes societal awareness, knowledge exchange, and empowers community members in preserving national identity and heritage through the introduction of cultural and societal initiatives.

His Excellency Mubarak Al Nakhi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, emphasized, “Through strategic and impactful partnerships with local cultural organizations, the Ministry of Culture strives to enrich the national culture within our people. We are committed to developing comprehensive cultural strategies that align with the visionary leadership and government of the United Arab Emirates, fostering the preservation of our national identity and nurturing a sense of belonging among all members of Emirati society.”

Nasser Al Yamahi, the Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, underscored the crucial role of partnerships, affirming, “Collaboration with the Ministry of Culture is pivotal in realizing the strategic objectives of Fujairah and the Authority’s initiatives to enrich the cultural and creative landscape at the emirate level. It also underscores the sector’s significance in bolstering national development efforts. This aligns with the esteemed leadership’s vision and its guidance to safeguard the national identity, cultural heritage, and foster collaboration with governmental and private entities to advance this essential sector.”

The agreement involves mutual visits and meetings between the parties, fostering creative and innovative skills through institutional partnerships. It aims to strengthen patriotism towards the nation and leadership, uphold their pillars and sustainability. Furthermore, it encompasses participation in events and activities related to national and cultural identity organized by both parties.

The agreement also seeks to cooperate in executing specialized artistic and cultural programs through coordinated efforts between the parties. This involves sharing expertise and information in cultural domains, particularly in archaeology, heritage, arts, and creative industries. Additionally, it encompasses the implementation of projects and initiatives that align with the goals of this memorandum.
