The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development concluded yesterday the four-week workshop entitled “Preparing Theatrical Actors” held on the stage of the Center of the Ministry in Abu Dhabi. The workshop was conducted by the artist Faisal Al-Darmaki and attended by 35 participants from the UAE and many Arab countries from different age groups. The workshop came as part of the ministry’s support for creative and talented young people in all cultural, artistic and literary fields. At the beginning of the ceremony, Yasser Al-Gergawi, Director of Cultural Events Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, congratulated participants in the workshop and delivered the greetings of the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. He further expressed his hope that the workshop did truly express the aspirations of its young participants and was a good opportunity for them to employ their skills, in addition to the skills they gained during the workshop. Al-Gergawi, who attended part of the workshop, said that the ministry is always keen to cater to the UAE youth in order to raise the cultural level in various cultural, artistic and knowledge fields, including the art of the theater, under the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. This emphasizes the importance of providing the appropriate environment for young creative people to complement their tools and skills, and to put them on the right path in a creative and artistic field such as the theater. It is worthy of mentioning that the workshop came under the guidance of HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development seeks through its events and activities to provide all kinds of support to talented young people in all cultural, artistic and literary fields with the aim of encouraging UAE youth towards innovation, in addition to the introduction of new talents to the cultural and artistic scene regionally and internationally. This comes within the framework of investing in the efforts and energies of young ones and allowing creative talents to express their abilities and perceptions.
