Ministry Of Culture Unveils More Than 100 Events With The Participation Of 27 Countries For The 46th National Day Celebrations

The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development has unveiled its program of cultural and national events organized on the occasion of the 46th National Day Celebrations. Events will take place with the participation of more than 27 countries over the period of 6 days between the 29nth of November and the 4th of December in Dubai City Walk and a number of the Ministry’s cultural centers. This year’s events will witness a qualitative development, in terms of reflecting a vivid picture of the UAE heritage, present and future and highlighting the foundations of the development set by the founding father Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan. Various segments of the UAE society are invited to participate in the events available across the UAE, to express their pride in the Nation’s cultural, civilizational and humanitarian heritage, in addition to its globally highlighted achievements. This year’s events include performances by folk bands from 30 countries, heritage villages, art exhibitions, murals, in addition to art and cultural activities across the country. Cultural centers will additionally organize more than 100 various activities ranging from carnivals, murals, art, theatre and folk performances, competitions, crafts workshops and book fairs. Umm Al Quwain Cultural Centre 46th National Day events will be launched in the presence of High Highness Sheikh Soud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, the ruler of Umm al-Quwain and member of the Federal Supreme Council. Events will start with a performance of a national operetta, in addition to a women’s paper exhibition, students theatrical performance, mural, entertainment and educational games, Emirati chef, face painting, kids cinema, folk games and cultural competitions. Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Centre Ras Al Khaimah Cultural Centre will organize a miniature city including the country’s most famous landmarks, in addition to folk art performances, operettas, cultural competitions, art galleries and a special corner dedicated to support and sell products of small and medium projects by Emirati youth. Ajman Cultural Centre Ajman Cultural Centre organizes a traditional fashion show by Emirati designers, book exhibition, poetry evenings and cooking competitions. In addition to a corner where visitors can try traditional clothes and Arabic coffee and get introduced to the services offered by the Ministry. Al Fujairah Cultural Centre Events of Al Fujairah Cultural Centre will commence with a national parade, group wedding, best national day picture competition and the national market. Events will also include folk shows, games, the best national dress competition, operetta, children’s area and cultural competitions. Al Dhafra Cultural Centre and Masafi Cultural Centre Both centres will include spirit of the union murals, arts and creativity oases, parades, cultural competitions, police dogs shows and carnivals. Dibba Al Fujairah Cultural Centre Dibba Al Fujairah Cultural Centre will also include a mural, health and blood donation pavilion, national market, classic bikes and cars exhibition, 2nd of December parade and an exhibition. Abu Dhabi Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi Cultural Centre will be home to an “Arts Bazar”, which is an outdoor market displaying and selling art paintings in a national atmosphere.
