Ministry Of Culture Uses Cartoon To Spread Awareness Across Its Cultural Centers

The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Insurance Authority, launched the campaign “Cinema” across all its cultural centers over the course of one week, as part of the Cultural Summer Programme. During the campaign, numerous cartoons displaying various messages designed to strengthen, enhance and protect the national identity will be played , in addition to raising awareness about many incorrect behaviors that lead to accidents and the importance of health insurance to protect one’s health. “The cultural summer programme works on building personalities of participants, and most importantlyenhancing their national identity and increasing their sense of belonging and loyalty. The program also focuses on adding to participants various skills needed to deal with different situations of life, and works on preparing them for life in general by enhancing their self-confidence, logical thinking, decision-making and accountability. This is what the initiative “Cinema” will achieve. ”, commented Ahmed Al Suraei, Director of the Cultural Centers Department. “Thanks to the comprehensive plan set by the Higher Committee, the program will continue with events and activities attracting the younger generation in its final week, in addition to its ongoing fixed workshops.”, said Al Suraei. He added “Both the Ministry and the Higher Committee were keen to provide all the necessary tools for the success and development of the activities and events during the past weeks.” Lectures on social responsibility and First Aid On the other hand, Ras Al Khaimah Culture Center organized a lecture about “Social Responsibility”, in cooperation with RAK Police. The lecture discussed immoral deviations and their impact on the individual’s life, reasons and types of individual deviations and the role of moral values in reinforcing ones behavior. The Center also organized a lecture about “National Service”. The lecture included an explanation on the importance of the values of loyalty and the sense of true belonging to the homeland, reinforcing the concept of preserving national unity and supporting the wise leadership. Umm Al Quwain culture center, in collaboration with the UAE Red Crescent, organized a “First Aid” workshop. The workshop included a practical application of first aid and focused on the most common accidents including drowning, fainting, suffocation and burns.
