Music Courses Spotlighted At Cultural Centers In Abu Dhabi And Al Dhafra

Music courses organized by the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development, as part of the Cultural Summer program held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, is spotlighted after the discovery of numerous talents from participating students. 4 weeks after the start of the program, cultural centers still receive participation requests from parents for music courses, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafra. “The Higher Committee organizing the program was keen to support and direct cultural centers to increase courses’ capacity in response to the remarkable turnout witnessed in previous weeks, which reflects initial success indicators of the program and its ability to attract students.”, pointed out Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of the Government Communications Department at the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development. “The Higher Committee does not only measure the program’s success based on the number of participants and events, but also on talents and innovation discovery. Success is also measured based on the quality of distinguished and creative activities and events in the program, which is aimed at building and developing the minds and talents of our children alike.”, continued Al Nuaimi “The cultural summer program plays an important role, especially in the discovery, development and support of children’s talents in the UAE.”, noted Fatima Al Hashimi, supervisor of the music workshop at the Ministry’s center in Abu Dhabi. Al Hashimi added that initial indicators in the previous weeks, assures the presence of a number of truly musically talented students worthy of support and development. “The program stems from the Ministry’s keenness to discover creative talents of students through specialized courses in music, theater, literature and visual arts, conducted by a number of specialized instructors over the course of 6 weeks.”, commented Dr. Ahmed Sami, supervisor of the music workshop at the Ministry’s center in Al Dhafra. After increased demands: Registration still available for music, theatrical and creative writing workshops at Al Dhafra Cultural Center Despite the fact that the number of students participating in Al Dhafra Cultural Center mounted to 247, registration in Al Dhafra Cultural Center is still available after the increased demands from parents. Al Dhafra center focuses on the development of artistic and literary talents through the provision of four main courses; theater, literature , visual arts and handcrafts, in addition to a number of other workshops held in coordination with local community institutions in Al Dhafra area. Workshops included a workshop about the dangers of drugs, held in cooperation with the Western Region Police Department, a workshop about Social Communication, in collaboration with the Social Support Center in the Western Region -Ministry of the Interior, a workshop about the culture of volunteering, in cooperation with the UAE Red Crescent Al Dhafra Branch, Arabic Calligraphy workshop, in addition to a public health awareness workshop, in cooperation with Al Noor Hospital Group and a workshop entitled “Happiness lies in good deeds”, in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments Al Dhafra.
