A Book That Changed My Life

Through the journey of self-discovery via reading, Mr. Hussein Al-Khater presented a special activity to ninth and tenth-grade students under the slogan ‘A Book That Changed My Life.’ Each participant had a unique experience with a book that left an unforgettable mark on their lives . Each student was asked to choose a book that influenced their thinking, changed their perspective on life, or inspired them in some way. After finishing the reading, each student presented the book’s ideas and expressed its impact, aiming to foster a love for reading, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate ideas in an elegant and inspiring manner. The ‘A Book That Changed My Life’ activity encouraged deep reflection on students’ experiences with the books they read, with choices ranging from self-development literature , inspiring stories, and biographies of influential figures. This activity demonstrated the power of reading to transform thoughts and feelings, as students were able to express the impact of the books using various methods.
