Any cultural object borrowed by a museum or exhibition belonging to any of the local authorities must be registered for temporary presentation in the UAE. MCKD will register it with the number indicated in the Register of Foreign Cultural Objects, in accordance with the provisions of Federal Law No. (2) of 2017 concerning the immunity of foreign cultural objects from seizure or confiscation.

Required documents: A clear image of the piece showing its size, length, height and various dimensions.

The local authority must submit an official request to MCKD for approval on the entry of archaeological pieces entering the UAE from other countries.

MCKD reviews and evaluates the request.

MCKD issues a ministerial decree on archaeological pieces that are allowed to enter the UAE.

MCKD shall register the archaeological pieces in the register of borrowed cultural objects.

MCKD to send the ministerial decree on the archaeological pieces allowed to enter the UAE is submitted to the requesting authority.
