Abu Dhabi Cultural Center Organize A Workshop And An Open Day For People With Determination From The Zayed Agricultural Center Interested In Fine Arts

Stemming from the role of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in the discovery of talented artists and the activation of the role of its cultural and knowledge centers in supporting people with determination, the Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi organized a workshop and an open day for all members of Zayed Agricultural Center for Development and Rehabilitation, part of the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs, in the presence of a large number of Emirati and Arab artists, including the artists Ashbah Al Ghafli, Fatima Al Rumaithi, Dr. Tarif Al Hassani and artist Mohammed Saleh. The workshop, conducted by the artist Kholoud Al-Jabri, introduced more than 55 participating people with determination to the world of fine arts. During the workshop, participants were introduced to the nature of fine arts and ways of self-expression using different colours. During the open day, participants also toured the center to check international artistic works displayed there, in addition to the fine arts exhibition including works by visitors to the free style drawing studio and by talents from the Zayed Agricultural Center. Products from Zayed Agricultural Center were also displayed in addition to a mural done by a number of young talents and an exhibition displaying paintings by Emirati artists. Participants also wrote the word “Zayed” with the kufic script and watched a documentary film about Sheikh Zayed. Mariam Al Suwaidi, Director of Abu Dhabi Cultural Center, noted that supporting talents of people with determination from the Zayed Agricultural Center comes within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in discovering talents, supporting various sectors of the society and providing cultural and knowledge services to talented people. The Ministry also works on providing opportunities for people with determination and introducing them to fine art. Al-Suwaidi added that the organization of such events comes in accordance with the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, which includes turning cultural centers into cultural hubs of creativity by organizing workshops, courses, programs, in addition to cultural and artistic activities benefiting all sectors of society especially people with determination. On the other hand, the artist Kholoud Al-Jabri expressed her happiness in the success of this event, stressing that this success is a result of the participation of a large number of Emirati artists, in addition to the fruitful cooperation between Zayed Agricultural Center and the center of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Abu Dhabi. Mohammed Saif Al Arifi, Director of the Zayed Agricultural Center, praised the cooperation between Zayed Agriculture and the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in this event. He further stressed that the Zayed Agricultural Center for Rehabilitation and Development is one of the pioneering ideas by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan for the rehabilitation and encouragement of people with determination towards production and effective contribution to the development of the UAE.
