Cultural centers affiliated to the UAE Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development have remarkably been turned into active cultural hubs during the month of April! Hundreds of students from different ages and parents were keen on attending the various activities, courses and workshops organized by cultural centers across the UAE. Yasser Al Gergawi, Acting Head of Cultural Centers Department, said that the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development was keen on designing a yearlong events plan for cultural centers visitors including workshops, courses, cultural and entertainment events and competitions to attract the largest number of visitors, thus turning centers into cultural cores of the UAE. He added that this came under the guidance of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, who focuses on the activation of the role of Cultural centers by presenting various events and activities directed to different segments of the society. Cultural centers in Masafi and in Umm Al Quwain organized workshops about reading for school students. On the other hand, Al Fujairah cultural center organized a competition aiming to motivate the spirit of competition among students. Additionally, Ras Al Khamaih and Ajman cultural centers organized a workshop about the art of public speaking for school students. Whereas, Masafi cultural center organized a workshop entitled “Our Small Kitchen” , introducing a new concept of fast, creative and nutritional cooking to young participants and their mothers.
