Character Day

This event consists of students coming to school with their favorite book and dressed as their favorite character from that book. The purpose of this activity is for students to share and discuss their choices with one another during the English period. During recess, they will be exposed to what other students enjoy and may have the chance to talk about their books with students from another section.

Literacy Tents

Some grade 8 students will be reading a story to Pre-K and KG1. There will be tents and a green area where students sit to enjoy the story and a short activity prepared by the students.

Arabic Story Discussion

Students were given a short story to read at home last week . During the event, the teachers, librarian, and students will have a discussion about the major events in the story, inviting students to share their reflections what they would have done instead and the moral of the story in relation to real life).

Daily reading hour

At ISCS, we strongly encourage our students to embrace reading during their library lessons. Our goal is to foster a love for books and enhance their literacy skills through regular exposure to a variety of reading materials.

Story Telling

As part of our ongoing celebration of Reading Month, we are thrilled to introduce Interactive Storytelling Sessions involving both students and teachers. These sessions will provide a collaborative and engaging platform for students to actively participate in the storytelling process alongside their teachers. This initiative aims to enhance creativity, communication skills, and understanding of narrative structures while fostering a stronger connection between students and teachers.
